Imagebunker (Knut Ehret)
Portraits in double or multiple exposures, visual connotation that adds a texture, a movement or a feeling, unreality of the dream or colored alienation, as well as bondage, symbolic or showing captured and wrapped preys for a postponed feast, going from knot to web and net, without neglecting chains with more intransigent heaviness.

What message(s) do you want to express through your work?
I would like to enrich the world of postmodern photography with my work and to give new impulses to my work. The photography gives me the possibility of canalizing my artistic work strength and of compiling seizable/visible results. I hope naturally to address with my work as large a public as possible - I do not see myself in the role of a scene photographer, it would limit me too much and woould be too simplistic. For me the result counts, so I do value aesthetics.Which artists inspire you?, who are your masters?
I estimate the work of Philippe Fichot, Joel-Peter Witkin and John Santerineross.Did the internet enable you to meet new models, to find new exhibit places?
Yes, I have already found several models via my web site. I also found several exhibition possibilities over the internet; unfortunately it sometimes results only in mail contact, which does not involve further options. And naturally the Web offers the possibility to be world-wide known - a large advantage!Could you tell us a few words about the place you live/work in?
I live in a South German town, which does not have considerable characteristics; everything is very provincial, and it is very calm here. An ideal place to work. Here I have my small studio, in which I develop the largest part of my photographs. For outdoor settings, some very beautiful landscapes are in direct proximity.Words gathered in April 2004
